The shortest trip on the list and the one people repeat. Take the A1 north with the sun coming up over the gulf. Saulkrasti's White Dune is a five-minute walk from the car for the view down the coast. Further on, Veczemju Cliffs are the only red sandstone sea cliffs in Latvia — best in low light. Be back in Riga before the city wakes up.
